Oranges and Cream

Monday morning and the only alarm waking me up was my 4yr old. Bliss, I just love school holidays, no rushing, shouting and stress on a Monday morning. I am lucky in the fact that all my kids love being at home, I don’t have the pressure of trying to think of something exciting to do every second of the day, they are quite happy in there surroundings.

So today I thought I would take my 7yr old Spencer to the pictures, Jack (13) was not interested and Charlie(4) was going out with Grandma and Grandad. But he felt a bit poorly so just wanted to stay at home…..Bring on the marathon easter cake baking session. Yep I churned out three lots of easter cakes and earned plenty of kiddipoints. ( picture at the bottom)

All I ended up doing was going out for a coffee with Jack as he felt sorry for me, all dressed up and no-one wanting to do anything , he was blackmailed with the promise of microsoft points, but a desperate mum will stop at nothing.

I decided to bring my own bit of sunshine to the world today with my bright orange sweater and orange Mulberry bag. I wore this with Zara cream coat, ASOS ripped boyfriends and leopard skaters.

I hope you have all had a great Monday either with or minus your little ones. Any plans for the week?

I have a feeling that the next few weeks outfit posts will be leaning on the casual side, but if a get a day pass out I will post a smarter outfit!

What do you think to the bright orange? Are you a fan?

Let me know your thoughts, I love to read your comments

Take care

Amanda

  2. I love orange. I once had the Celine Boogie Bag in Paprika – which was orange. I got so many comments I always regret selling it on ebay! Like you, I love having the alarm off, my 13 year old is no trouble and also happy in his surroundings and I have never needed to entertain him and his three much older sisters all had each other being so close in age, so I’ve always been lucky.

    • Ooh, I hate that when you sell something then wish you had it back!
Much the same, my younger two play together and keep each other entertained (good or bad!) and Jack is no trouble. Heres to a blissfull easter hols! x

  3. I love orange and it’s a perfect color on you! And that jacket…wow! So simple and so perfect.

  4. What a gorgeous bag. I want a Mulberry one as well but in a blush shade. First the neutrals then the colour.

  5. I absolutely LOVE orange, it’s my new favourite for the season ahead. I’d never think to wear with cream so thanks for the inspiration.
