Man up!

Yes today I have been channeling my inner “man” and that doe’s not involve leaving up the toilet seat and hogging the remote control. But sporting a masculine silhouette and my favourite man shoe, the gorgeous brogue.

Firstly though I must apologise for the lack of action on High on Luxe, but we have just swapped over broadband users and apparently it takes 10 days for the new one to find the best connection, lets hope it is better than at the moment because it is totally pants ( a technical term).

So back to the outfit of the day and as usual I have kept it clean and simple with black and white. The black long waistcoat was from Zara last year and I have got my eye on a cream one from Marks and Sparks. They are so versatile and a great transition piece into warmer days.

The white shirt is Zara and my cream brogues are from Clarks. They have got to be the comfiest shoe I own as they have cushioning inside, great shopping shoes!

What do you think to the masculine look? Please let me know.

It is a short post today as I have just got back from the gym. It is mission beach body 2014 at the moment and my aching muscles need a nice bubbly bath, so have a great evening and I will hopefully post tomorrow ( connection pending)

Take care

  1. Love your shoes, love the crisp white shirt, and love your hair :0)
Must admit I’m not a fan of overly masculinised outfits, so its nice to see the softer edge the cream colour shoes and the accessories bring to the look.

Hope your Broadband gets sorted – A good internet connection is like life-blood these days!

    • Thank you Paul, I do love a masculine outfit, I agree you have to be careful though and have a hint of softness. I love a black tuxedo suit on a women with a bra top just showing, sexier than a dress I would argue!
The internet connection still driving me mad, surely in this age a could connection is a basic human right!!! xx

  2. This is a great look! I love that vest. (That’s what we Americans call a waistcoat.)

  3. Love the sharp tailoring of the jacket and shirt with the jeans and brogues! The brogues are gorgeous….I am very tempted as they are a fab neutral colour for this pro-longed transitional weather we are having!! Gorgeous look! xx

  4. Great outfit! I think the cream of the brogues make them much more feminine than they would otherwise look. And seeing your lovely bob is making me wonder about cutting my hair off too..I’m sure it’s so much easier to manage? Ax

  5. Love this outfit. I normally don’t like the waistcoats, but I think you’ve styled it beautifully. Looking gorgeous!
